When does the Nordschwarzwald Triathlon take place?
The Nordschwarzwald Triathlon will take place on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Registration, check-in, the children's competition and the Volkstriathlon will take place on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
I have registered for the wrong distance or would like to change my registration. Who should I contact?
A distance change is possible until the online registration deadline on Wednesday, 26.07.2024, provided there are still places available at the relevant distance.

Unfortunately I cannot take part in the competition, what options do I have?
The participant has a time-limited right of withdrawal, whereby the registration fee paid will be refunded less an administration fee. The administrative fee for withdrawal is
until 28.02.2024: 60 EUR
from 01.03. - 05.05.2024: 80 EUR
After May 05, 2024, withdrawal with refund is no longer possible.
Foreign participants are requested to state their IBAN and BIC/SWIFT when canceling.
A postponement of the starting place to the following year is possible for a fee of 60.00 EUR.
It is not possible to change from the long distance to alternative distances.
Why do I not receive an invoice with VAT shown?
As Tri-Events Baden-Württemberg gGmbH operates as a non-profit organization, the registration fees are exempt from VAT.
Where can I find the starter list?
All participants have the opportunity to view the starter list on the Datasport Germany website from 4 weeks before the race.
From what age can I register for the Northern Black Forest Triathlon?
From what age can I register for the Nordschwarzwald TriathlonAll races are open to age group athletes, provided there are no health concerns.
The provisions of the DTU sports regulations apply to equipment.
Minimum age for participation in the relay competition:
Swimming: 14 years
Cycling: 18 years
Running: 18 years.
No triathlon licenses or day licenses are required for relay entries.

What distances are available?
The Nordschwarzwald Triathlon is held as a long-distance event and as a triathlon for individuals and relay teams.
When do I have to finish the triathlon by?
You must be at the finish line by 21:30. There are the following time limits for the individual disciplines.
Start: 6:30 am.
Swim: 2:10h
Swim and bike: 09:30h
Swim, bike and run: 15:00h
Can I also start in a relay?
The Nordschwarzwald Triathlon also offers a relay competition for all distances (fun and long distance).
When will I find out which starting group I am in?
There will be a rolling start for all distances. At the swim start you can line up according to your personal swim time so that you start with athletes of equal strength.
Will a wetsuit be allowed for swimming?
A decision as to whether swimming in a wetsuit is permitted will be made by the responsible head of the judges on the day of the competition, one hour before the respective start. The temperature tables of the DTU sports regulations apply.
Where can I view the routes of the Nordschwarzwald Triathlon?
You will soon find all routes at www.nordschwarzwald-triathlon.de. We ask for your understanding that the detailed routes will only be published once the approval process has been completed.
Do I need a racing bike to take part in a triathlon?
No, a racing bike is not required for participation. However, your bike must be roadworthy and any "horns" on the handlebars must be removed beforehand.
When does the race briefing take place?
The competition briefing takes place online and is available for download on our website at www.nordschwarzwald-triathlon.de/infos/wettkampfinformationen approximately one week before the competition.
